Changing Lenses: The Boyd Norton Story

Boyd Norton grew up as a science whiz kid along with atomic age.  It’s little wonder that he launched his professional life with a dream job for the Atomic Energy Commission.  Job duties included blowing up a nuclear reactor.

Living in Idaho, he also found himself surrounded by the most spectacular wilderness that he’d ever seen.  So, he bought a camera to capture the beauty of it all.  That was the beginning of Boyd’s inflection point, culminating with him walking away from the AEC and beginning a 50-year career as a world class photographer, author and environmental activist.

It’s an inspiring story, one that resonates deeply with current events. That’s why we’re in the process of producing this film about Boyd’s inflection point.  Check out our YouTube Channel where you can see some sneak peak and behind-the-scenes excerpts of our work-in-progress.  You can also see some of Boyd’s reflections on 50 years of environmental storytelling.
