Our Story
Planting a Seed, Growing a Vision
It all started with the notion of telling the inspirational story of one person’s inflection point. That story captured the imagination of a group of filmmakers, artists, entrepreneurs, scientists, and environmental advocates who believe that storytelling can be a powerful tool to help create a hopeful and sustainable future.
So, we’re trying to make this happen by
Showcasing and supporting stories and storytellers that help us perceive the world in a new and powerful way.
Tapping into the many forms of creative expression to celebrate, support and inspire storytellers who are making a difference.
Partnering with organizations and communities to make the connections needed to translate those stories into action.
Behind the ScenesMike Nelson talks about Boyd Norton, science and the art of storytelling.
What’s Your Personal Inflection Point?
Our Partners
Inflexion Points is a Partner Project of Colorado Nonprofit Development Center, a nonprofit charity exempt from federal income tax under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
We understand that not everyone can contribute money. If that is your situation, you can still help! Please share this project with your family, friends, and social networks.
Every contribution, whether it is financial or sharing, will help us tell Boyd’s story and inspire others to consider their own inflection points.
Collaborative Partnerships - If you are an individual or organization with a passion or mission that aligns with ours, we are very interested in exploring collaborative relationships that would broaden and compliment our existing skill sets and resources.

Tom Dudzinski – Chief Conceptual Development Officer, Executive Producer
One might say that my life journey naturally led me to being on the Inflexion Points leadership team. My first lifelong passion emerged as a preschooler, when I took to dragging my mom’s pots and pans out of the kitchen cabinets to create an improvised drum set. This love for music and playing drums led me to performing in an eclectic mix of bands, genres, and venues throughout much of my life. My second passion emerged while attending the University of Michigan: storytelling through television and video production. This led to a decades-long career of producing television series and documentaries for public broadcasting, as well as video and multimedia projects for a variety of corporate, educational and nonprofit clients.
While pursuing both passions, I’ve experienced firsthand the magic of collaborative creative expression, and I’ve seen how the power of authentic storytelling can make a profound difference in people’s lives. Finally, having had the privilege of exploring the Colorado Rockies and other amazing places around the world, I’ve come to truly appreciate the sanctity of the natural world, and how the interconnectedness of it all sustains us. I am also horrified by the very real prospect that those sacred gifts are in the process of being squandered and destroyed. This is my attempt to contribute what I can to keep that from happening.
Mike Nelson - Science Advisor, Spokesperson
I recently retired from television in 2024 to pursue other ventures in renewable energy and climate change. My nearly five-decade career was capped by serving as Chief Meteorologist for Denver7 from 2004 - 2024, and for KUSA-TV from 1991 to 2004. Along the way I have received 20 Emmy awards and was named a Fellow of the American Meteorological Society (AMS), the only Colorado TV Meteorologist to be so honored. In 2023, I was inducted into the Denver Press Club Hall of Fame; the only meteorologist to receive this honor.
I am passionate about the science of meteorology and educating people about the impact that climate change is having on our lives and will have on future generations. That’s why I have spoken to more than a million school children, countless civic organizations and have regularly talked about the causes and effects of climate change during my television broadcasts. For this work, I was recognized by the Colorado Broadcasters Association as their "Citizen of the Year" in 2001 and was inducted into the “Colorado Broadcasters Silver Circle,” recognizing 25 years of Broadcast Excellence and Community Service in Colorado.
I am proud to have written 2 books on Colorado weather: Colorado Weather and Colorado Almanac, in addition to The World’s Littlest Book on Climate: 10 Facts in 10 Minutes where I collaborated with Dr. Pieter Tans and Michael Banks.
I still live in Colorado with my wife, Cindy, and we have 2 grown children and 3 grandkids!
Dr. Michael Frank: Advisor / Music Supervisor
Towards the end of my 38 years in general pediatrics and neurodevelopmental disorders, I decided to pursue a lifelong interest in music at a higher level and subsequently obtained a second BA in music composition from Regis University in Denver, CO. I’ve been active in musical performance since high school, participating in musical theater, glee clubs, university and community choirs, as well as various ensembles including the trio “Take - 3” and a popular/rock/blues band called “FreeStyle.” Under the moniker of “Dr. Blues” I still sing, play guitar, bass, and harmonica, and recently released a solo album. My more serious choral and orchestral ensemble pieces have been premiered by The Colorado Chamber Players, First Universalist Singers, The Wet Ink Ensemble, Regis University Concert Choir, Regis University Wind and String ensemble, World Beautiful Orchestra with singers from the Central City Opera touring company, and tenor Johnnie Felder. More recently I have had the great pleasure and honor of collaborating with psychiatrist/poet Dr. Frank Clark in orchestrating and premiering three of his powerful poems.
I have served on the boards of several nonprofits in Denver including: Denver Sister Cities International, Developmental FX, Playground Ensemble, and Bringing Music to Life. Our family currently owns and operates The Savoy Denver, a niche event center in the Historic Curtis Park Five Points District. We are the home base for the non-profit theatre company, Théâtre Artibus, and showcase numerous other theatre companies and musical groups including Boulder Ensemble Theatre Company (BETC), Music Appreciation Society ( MAS), and The Sphere ensemble.
John Ehrmann
As a child, my family visited many national parks and traveled a fair amount, but we did not actively engage with nature via hiking or camping. In college, I discovered the study of geography which initially stimulated my deeper interest in the environment and how we as people interact with and impact it. Following college, I worked in the outdoor industry, which gave me access to camping, climbing, and kayaking equipment as well as the opportunity for active immersion with the natural world.
A key inflection point for me happened when I was helping to run a wilderness lodge in British Columbia and was sitting on a riverbank along a wild salmon and grizzly bear rich river. It was then that I decided I wanted to go to graduate school to learn more about environmental policy so I could hopefully play a constructive role in preserving our environment. That led me to the University of Michigan, School of Natural Resources (now the School of Sustainability and Environment) where I learned about the field of environmental conflict resolution. Since then, I have been fortunate to have been able to focus my career on helping people find collaborative approaches to address national and international environmental and sustainability challenges, including climate change, energy, water, and many others. I continue in this work in my semi-retirement, as a consultant to NGOs and private foundations.
David Baud – Co-Executive Producer/Director
It all started in the South of France with a flipbook, one frame at a time. The illusion of movement captivated me. With a Super8 camera, I made my first stop-motion film with a group of passionate teenagers. It took us a year to complete a five-minute film, but the recognition we received from seasoned filmmakers made it all worth it. My camera became my third eye, capturing my adventures, from hang gliding over the Alps to windsurfing in remote places, and preserving memories of family, friends, and nature.
Professionally, I started in broadcast television in Paris, making films about philosophers, politicians, adventurers, farmers, and astronauts, each with a story that broadened my view of the world. Then came computers, revolutionizing how I worked. Editing, once a tedious process, became more precise and creative. Celluloid gave way to magnetic tapes, which were soon replaced by digital bits. With technology, finishing became seamless, and the visual quality of films leapt forward.
In 2001, I directed my first feature documentary about a film jury at Cannes, distributed in four European countries. That experience launched my production company, Kosmos Productions, which later established a studio in Colorado. My work has since aired on major networks and streaming platforms across Europe and America, including Netflix, Prime Video, PBS, NBC/Universal, France Télévisions, TV Brasil, and ZDF.
Today, I use filmmaking to shed light on social justice, environmental issues, and the natural world, hoping to inspire a new generation of changemakers.
Olivier Sabatier – Creative Designer
Visual design is much more than a job for me; it's a passion that has driven me for over 20 years. I love giving meaning to images, creating striking identities, and imagining visuals that speak for themselves. Whether for a logo, a visual identity, a marketing campaign, an illustration, or a photograph, each project is an opportunity to explore new ideas and refine my vision.
My approach is both bold and refined, guided by a search for a balance between spontaneity and precision. I craft each project with an artisanal approach, where experimentation and handwork give rise to authentic visuals. I enjoy observing trends, drawing inspiration from them without conforming to them, and, above all, understanding what makes a creation timeless and memorable.
Over the years, I've had the opportunity to collaborate with companies of all sizes, from dynamic startups to tourism players, cosmetics and wellness brands. Driven by a passion for photography, I've been honing my vision and mastery of imagery for over 20 years through film and video production.
Today, I bring this expertise to socially engaged projects by participating in the creation of environmental films. My ambition: to tell inspiring stories, magnify the beauty of nature, and raise awareness about its preservation through powerful and authentic images.
Janne Read-Bersson – Production Manager
I joined the BBC in London in 1980 and during my 15 years there I worked in several roles as Production Co-Ordinator, Researcher, Assistant Producer, Production Manager, and occasional Studio Director. I loved working on documentaries about many captivating subjects from Renaissance Italian Architecture, Modern Art, Archaeology, History – from the fall of the Berlin Wall to the modern British Monarchy - and Cinema, to mention just a few.
After leaving the BBC to enter the freelance world, I worked as a Senior Production Manager and sometime Line Producer on drama-documentaries before ending up as a Production Executive at a major independent media company in London. I oversaw production teams, budgeting, financial reporting, series commissions, broadcaster negotiations, staffing, and compliance.
It’s been a fascinating journey that has taken me to many corners of the world – from the Cook Islands to India, from the sub-arctic tundra of Canada to Ethiopia and many places in-between, where I managed very complex location shoots with all the challenges those can bring. Two of my many highlights are finding a bagpiper to be filmed in a remote desert town in Texas at less than 24 hours’ notice and negotiating with the Vatican to film in the Pope’s private garden!
Throughout my career, the common thread has been working on projects made by committed filmmakers with passion and integrity. I've always believed in the power of storytelling and the importance of bringing meaningful stories to life.
Michael Rosenzweig - Website Designer & Marketing Consultant
With a background in teaching and holding just about every position in a summer camp, I am a natural educator who has a knack for finding creative ways to approach marketing your business, services, or nonprofit mission. After studying marketing in college and trying a few careers, I landed in Colorado with a job in the nonprofit world at the Boulder JCC, working my way up from the front desk Receptionist to the Marketing Director. During this time, my interest in video editing really sparked, writing and “producing” some short videos for our fundraising efforts.
After dozens of events, fundraisers, and a capital campaign, I decided to work at a digital marketing agency where I helped small businesses grow and learned the value of scalable systems, processes, website design and SEO. After the birth of my daughter, flexibility became a paramount need for my family. I founded The Marketing Handyman because I wanted to change the way local businesses and organizations thought about marketing agencies and consultants. I genuinely want my clients to view me as a partner throughout their journey.
